Join us Friday, November 8 from 1-4 PM for the Omaha Association's annual ethics program!  This year's ethics seminar is co-sponsored by our friends with the Financial Planning Association of Nebraska.

Privacy, Social Media and the Financial Service Professional (Presented by Laurie VanderWal, VanderWal Agency)

This presentation will provide insurance and financial professionals with an overview and general understanding of the ethical and legal obligations a professional may face in a variety of situations. The process of evaluating ethical and legal issues -- and then determining a positive outcome -- will be discussed through a variety of thought-provoking case studies.

Our speaker, Laurie VanderWal,has a Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University, along with a Masters of Art in Management from Bellevue University.  She is a state licensed insurance agent and insurance consultant as well as being a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist.  She has spoken to numerous local and national audiences and offers a variety of training courses on ethical behavior, cybersecurity and property and casualty insurance issues.

The session will provide three hours of Nebraska and Iowa INSURANCE ETHICS credits.  We also have applied for Ethics CE credit for Legal and Accounting.

PUBLIC SERVICE PROJECT:  Our November 8 Public Service project and monetary donations will support Wounded Warriers Family Support.  WWFS is an independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide support to the families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations. Rated a four-star nonprofit by Charity Navigator, Wounded Warriors Family Support aids veterans and their families in healing the wounds that medicine cannot.

We hope you will consider supporting this great cause by making a financial contribution at the event.  The OAHU will be making a donation out of its general operation funds.

This program is FREE for NAHU members -- $30 for NAIFA members -- and $60 for all other guests. Guest fees can be paid online or at the door by cash, check or credit card.

Register online -- or you can sign-up via e-mail to Chapter Administrator Joe Pittman at [email protected] or call 844-249-8806.
